Melissa Risi      Modern Dancing

Melissa has been teaching modern dancing in Edgemead for 13years.  She founded the Risi Academy of Dance and is also the director.  Melissa has raised the standard of dancing in Edgemead and the studio is continuing to improve and grow.

Verna Risi        Ballet

                        Verna has been teaching ballet at the Risi Academy of Dance for 5 years.

                       She has classes that are specialised for children from the age of 2.5 yrs. 

                       Verna was qualified as a Royal Academy of Dance teacher in Los Angeles

                        California and when she returned in 2001 began teaching ballet at the Academy

                      and now ballet is taken by most of the students from the academy.

Amanda           Ballet, Funk, Tap, Musical Theatre

                        Amanda has joined the Risi Academy of Dance this year 2006 and is

                        teaching all the forms of dance and reintroducing ballet and tap to

                        the older children.  She has also created A major buzz about Musical Theatre

                         and our classes for that are filling up so quickly we are starting waiting lists,

                         so sign up now before it’s toooo late.  She has a wonderful teaching spirit

                        And has come to the academy and caused quite a wonderful stir. 

                         So we welcome her and hope she will be part of the school for many years to come.

Kelly                Stretch and Strength, funk, tap, ballet, modern

Kelly is still part of the Risi Academy of Dance and she is returning to Edgemead to teach..  So don’t forget about her.  She is dancing overseas and excelling at what she is doing.  Kelly was a student of the Risi Academy of Dance and took all forms of dancing.  She is now reaping the rewards of an all round dancer by travelling the world and doing what she loves.
